_____ Tuesday!

So normally today is Taco Tuesday but we have something different for you today. We’ll call it… Toenails Tuesday for today, mostly because it’s all about pedicures!

Wearing flip flops all the time can really do a number on your feet, and it’s important to give your feet a treat once in a while!

Wondering who gave the best pedicure, the ladies of Up To Date Isla asked around a bit before making an appointment with a woman named Nina. We unfortunately did not get a picture of her house, but it’s really hard to miss since it’s painted like a dalmation! But we wanted to let all the women out there know about her.

She gave the best pedicure ever! Sometimes you get a woman who really seems to be butchering your poor toesies. But not once did Nina hurt. Not only we were impressed by how gentle she was (gentle but thorough) when it came to the actual painting of the nails part Nina had a surprise for us. She has a unique talent and can draw, or paint rather, 100’s of different things on your toes. She has all of the different scenes, flowers, decorations, etc on little display sheets and while she’s cleaning your feet you can look through to see exactly what you want to have on your toes.

All this for 90 pesos!

She does not speak any English, but said that she can understand some of it.

Often I hear people asking where they can get pedicures while on Isla, and this is the lady you should go to. She works by appointment so it’s better to schedule something a day or two in advance, but if any one is interested send us a message, we’ll help you get in contact with her– she’s really awesome!

I’m going to be in Isla in a week for my wedding, and my fiance and her matron of honor would definitely be interested! Can you provide more information for me on how to get in contact with Nina? My Spanish is very very limited, but I think they’d be looking for appointments on Saturday the 16th, ideally.
